Its exterior already conveys pure driving pleasure at a standstill. This is immediately apparent on the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé. The front is characterised by the signature AMG radiator trim and wide track. The frameless doors blend into the emotively designed lines perfectly.
AMG front apron
The new Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé unmistakeably cite the looks of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ 4-Door Coupé. The distinctive front apron with the AMG-specific radiator trim sports a design that clearly distinguishes it from the Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 4MATIC.

Equally very striking: the AMG rear apron with specific diffuser look and the AMG spoiler lip in the body colour on the boot lid. The two round twin tailpipes, each measuring 90 mm in diameter, literally round off the rear of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé.

The sporty character of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ is also apparent in their interior design. With the AMG steering wheel buttons on the AMG Performance steering wheel the driver has perfect control of the multimedia system with instrument cluster at their fingertips at all times. The distinctive AMG centre console incorporates switches for operating manual transmission mode, the 3-stage ESP® system or the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension, for example.

The interior of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ matches the outside for sporty appeal. The AMG instrument cluster is tuned for high-end performance with its three different display designs including Supersport mode, a centrally positioned round rev counter and additional information presented in bar graph form.

Those who prefer a sporty and agile driving style need to be able to keep control at all times. This is ensured by the AMG Performance steering wheel with 12-o'clock marking and "AMG" lettering, which comes in three variants.

As the most powerful series-production 4-cylinder engine, the newly developed AMG 2.0-litre high-tech unit follows in the tradition of its predecessor. This again calls for the AMG high-performance brake system with red painted callipers to bridle such engine power.
2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine
The 4-cylinder high-tech engine provides the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+ with an output of 285 kW[1] (387 hp) and peak torque of 480 Nm[1], enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé has even more power on tap, at 310 kW[1] (421 hp), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds.

The new AMG Performance 4MATIC+ with AMG TORQUE CONTROL enables racing-standard performance. Two separately acting clutches at the rear axle provide for fully variable and individual power distribution to the rear wheels as required. This power is particularly tangible in the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ in Drift mode, which features as standard.
AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G
The RACE START function offers optimum acceleration from a standing start. Partial ignition cut-off during upshifts and the automatic double-declutching function during downshifts provide for an emotional sound into the bargain.
